Hampi Utsav

In March 2002, the Government of India has announced that Hampi would be developed as an international destination centre. The State Govt will constitute a Hampi World Heritage Area Management Authority for integrated development and conservation of Hampi. The Hampi Festival was organized by the Government of Karnataka in November to recreate the grandeur of the bygone era. They had various event spread over 5 different stages located in between the HAMPI ruins. They had events covering dances, plays, musical performances, Kusti (wrestling) and the finale was a grand parade (procession).
